In honor of the 80th birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, Rama IX of Thailand on December 5th, 2007 -- WATNAWAMIN.NET welcome you to this special edition.
H.M. the King was born on December 5, 1927 at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts and is the only monarch to have been born in the United States. H.M. is well recognized as the heart and soul of the Thai nation. H.M. is held in the high esteem not only by his own subjects, but H.M. also commands enormous respect from people in all parts of the world. The manner in which H.M. conducts himself, giving his whole heart and attention to the people, has linked the living symbol of the nation to the people in a bond of mutual understanding and personal affection.
Led by Phra Promwachirayan (Board of the Council of Thai Bhikkhus, Abbot of the Royal Temple Wat Yannawa, and President of Construction Project of Wat Nawamintararachutis), Wat Nawamintararachutis – the NMR Buddhist Meditation Center was established in 2002 in honor of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, Rama IX of Thailand to celebrate the 60th anniversary of his coronation on June 9, 2006 and his 80th birthday on December 5, 2007.

โรงพยาบาลเมาท์ ออเบิร์น เมืองเคมบริดจ์ รัฐแมสซาชูเสตส์ ตั้งขึ้นเมื่อปีพุทธศักราช ๒๔๒๙ เป็นโรงพยาบาลที่ใช้ในการเรียนการสอนร่วมกับโรงเรียนแพทย์แห่งมหาวิทยาลัยฮาวาร์ด Mount Auburn Hospital was founded in 1886 as the first hospital in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It is a Teaching Hospital of Harvard Medical School.

ตรงกับวันขึ้น ๑๒ ค่ำ ปีเถาะ เวลา ๐๘.๔๕ น. His Majesty King was born on Monday, December 5, 1927, at 8:45 A.M. (Boston, USA).  
สมเด็จเจ้าฟ้ามหิดลอดุลเดช กรมหลวงสงขลานครินทร์ หม่อมสังวาล ตะละภัฎ (ชูกระมล) (สมเด็จพระศรีนครินทราบรมราชชนนี) สมเด็จพระเจ้าพี่นางเธอ เจ้าฟ้ากัลยาณิวัฒนา กรมหลวงนราธิวาสราชนครินทร์ พระบาทสมเด็จพระปรเมนทรมหาอานันทมหิดล และ พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว เมื่อครั้งเยาว์วัย

พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว เสด็จเยือนนครบอสตันและโรงพยาบาลเมาท์ออเบิร์น เมื่อวันที่ 7 กรกฎาคม พ.ศ.2503 และทรงพบกับ ดร. ดับเบิลยู สจ๊วต วิทท์มอร์ รวมทั้งคณะพยาบาลที่ถวายพระประสูติกาล และทรงพระราชทานของที่ระลึกแด่ ดร.วิทท์มอร์ มีข้อความว่า
"แด่มิตรคนแรกของฉัน ดร.วิทมอร์ ด้วยความรักและระลึกถึง"
On July 7, 1960, H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej visited Dr. W. Stewart Whittemore at Mount Auburn Hospital.
"To my first friend, Doctor Whittmore, with Affectionate regard."
 คณะพยาบาลโรงพยาบาลเมาท์ออเบิร์น 4 ท่าน ซึ่งเป็นพี่เลี้ยงตลอดเวลาที่ทรงประทับอยู่ในโรงพยาบาล ปรากฏนามดังนี้
